There are four financial benefits offered to qualifying Symantec Secure One partners. The benefits fall into two broad categories: Strategic and Transactional. Strategic benefits are those reserved for our eligible Platinum and Gold Partners. Transactional Benefits are available to eligible Platinum, Gold and Silver Partners for the Opportunity Registration Benefit and to eligible Platinum, Gold, Silver and Registered Partners for the Margin Builder Benefit.
The Growth Accelerator Rebate ("GAR") rewards eligible Gold and Platinum tier partners who achieve quarterly growth targets in their eligible Gold and Platinum Symantec Competencies. Platinum and Gold Partners meeting the growth goal will receive up to 6% rebate on their qualifying business, while Gold Partners can earn up to 3% rebate. Partners who achieve competency in Threat Protection, Information Protection, or Cyber Security Services are eligible to receive the 6% rebate on their qualifying business in all competencies. The Symantec Partner Development Fund (SPDF) is designed to provide innovative tools and resources empowering Platinum and Gold Partners to promote their company, services, and relationship with Symantec through pre-approved qualifying marketing and business development related activities. The Symantec Partner Development Fund ("SPDF") empowers growth initiatives by offering eligible Gold and Platinum Partners access to pooled development funds. The Symantec Opportunity Registration Program ("OR") rewards partners with discounts and/or rebates who actively identify, develop, and close new incremental sales opportunities on qualifying Symantec products and services with a minimum value. The Margin Builder ("MB") Benefit offers eligible Secure One partners a recommended discount up to 20% discount (available via the partner's Authorized Distributor) for first registering and closing new business on qualifying Small and Medium Business ("SMB") solutions, depending on region. Symantec will make sufficient discount available to the partner's nominated Symantec Authorized Distributor but any actual pricing for the partner is as agreed between the partner and the Authorized Distributor.
