Kevin Isaac leads sales for Symantec’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region where he is on a mission to protect individuals and companies against escalating and sophisticated cyber security attacks. Isaac is responsible for executing on Symantec’s strategy to grow the business and market share across the vast and diverse region, while supporting customers and partners in the daily battle against cyber crime.
Prior to this role, Isaac served as Symantec Vice President for the company’s Mid-Sized and Growth Countries in EMEA where he led a large team across more than 100 countries. The fast-paced environment and the need to create value and a mission for the team to back were key motivators for Isaac. His out-of-box thinking and strategic approach to reaching prominent customers resulted in this expanded territory in 2012.
Isaac has been with Symantec for more than 16 years and brings with him unique experience working in Emerging Markets, which has provided him with a greater understanding of regional and country specific challenges and opportunities. Isaac's career in the IT industry has spanned many countries with diverse business and social cultures.
Prior to joining Symantec, Isaac successfully ran an IT distribution business in Central Africa and understands the local intricasies and needs associated with these markets. His various executive roles and rich tapestry of experiences has included everything from being General Manager of manufacturing plants, which included managing HR, finance and operations, to pure play board level roles in sales and marketing.
Isaac started his career in the banking sector at Standard Chartered Bank, Zimbabwe where his tenure provided the strong process and organizational foundation for his career and gave him training in operational rigor and cadence. He later gained leadership experience as a manager at Art Corporation, which at the time was a major 20,000-employee manufacturer of plastics and paper products. During his career, Isaac built the belief that strong relationships and commitment to local market issues and needs are the key to sustained success.
Isaac describes himself as a constant learner and is enthusiastic about creative and visual representations of hard-to-decipher data. Outside of work, Kevin is happiest spending time with his family and starts his day with his fitness routine.
