On March 10th, 2009, Symantec Education Services switched from paper certificates to electronic certificates for Symantec Certification credentials. All candidates achieving certification will receive an electronic version of the certification credential.
Why use electronic certificates?
- Certificate delivery will be faster and more reliable, resulting in a wait of only a few days rather than 4-6 weeks.
- Electronic certificates will be easier to share with management or anyone else that you would want to notify of your new Symantec certified status.
- Symantec is committed to minimizing its environmental footprint by conserving the natural resources on which we all depend. Reducing paper waste and mail/shipping activities is a key component of our conservation program.
How does this affect current Certifications?
All current paper certificates will remain valid and do not need to be replaced. New electronic copies can be requested by logging in to your CertTracker
