Microsoft Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is prone to a local privilege-escalation vulnerability. A local attacker can exploit this issue to elevate user privileges. Successful exploits will result in the complete compromise of vulnerable computers. NOTE: The affected service is available only on Windows XP.
