Additional Information

Euniverse.com publishes many products/variants, such as KeenValue, PerfectNav, Sirsearch, Flowgo, Incredifind, and others.

They are described as the largest entertainment and media network on the Internet, serving over 50 million subscribers each month. The adware supplied by Euniverse acts like a hijacker, monitors Web sites visited, and generates pop-up ads.

Sirsearch Power Toolbar is a Toolbar that bundles Keenvalue along with it, and will change the default homepage to www.sirsearch.com.

Keenvalue tracks computer usage and surfing habits of users, and shows contextual advertisements and services.

Thunderdownload, another product of Euniverse, is a tracking cookie installed on the computer.

PerfectNav is an error page hijacker that redirects the browser to go to perfectnav.com.

Flowgo Toolbar is a Toolbar with similar intentions of tracking and generating contextual pop-up ads.

Adware:
These are programs that facilitate delivery of advertising content to the user through their own window, or by utilizing another program's interface. In some cases, these programs may gather information from the user's computer, including information related to Internet browser usage or other computing habits, and relay this information back to a remote computer or other location in cyber-space.

Adware can be downloaded from Web sites (typically in shareware or freeware), email messages, and instant messengers. Additionally, a user may unknowingly receive and/or trigger adware by accepting an End User License Agreement from a software program linked to the adware or from visiting a Web site that downloads the adware with or without an End User License Agreement.
