Client Cache File System

In a streamed application, access to the computer’s file system is rerouted to the Streaming System persistent Client cache. This cache acts as a sparsely populated file system because only those streamlets that the application requires are kept there. Unreferenced streamlets remain on the server, conserving network bandwidth. The cache remains persistent between sessions.
