CSP (Client Server Protocol)

A protocol that packages and sends data from component to component using the various transports that ESM supports. CSP bundles the data and places it on the network in whatever way is appropriate for the transport mechanism.

In Symantec Enterprise Security Manager, a group of ESM Agents on an ESM Manager. You can assign Agents to domains so that a Manager can view groups of Agents separately. You can create domains to reflect technological divisions, such as all UNIX systems or all VMS systems; organizational divisions, such as accounting systems, production systems, or marketing systems; or geographical divisions, such as Building C systems or Denver systems.
