Synchronization

The process that maintains the most recent version of selected files and folders belonging to the same user on multiple desktops. Synchronization is available for files and folders that are backed up by DLO.

Refers to automatically keeping directory servers up-to-date with the user database including synchronizing between LDAP and Active Directory. System administrators can specify how often to synchronize the user database with the directory server. See also Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).

The process of making the data on the Secondary identical to the data on the Primary.
