Symantec Control Compliance Suite - 11.1 Red Hat Enterprise Linux (64-bit) agent support

Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS) 11.1 Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)(64-bit) agent is available for data collection. Currently this agent is supported on the following RHEL platforms:

  • RHEL 6
  • RHEL 7

The agent installation package contains the default content of SCU 2014-5.

Prerequisites for data collection

The following are the prerequisites for raw data collection from an RHEL (64-bit) agent:

  • Control Compliance Suite version 11.1
  • The agent requires the system libgcc_s.so.1 library (present under /lib64)
  • CCS 11.1.2 Agent Product Update (APU) or later

The contents of RHEL (64-bit) agent installation package are listed in the following table:

This folder contains the ccs.tpk, which is the default raw-data content for the RHEL 6 (64-bit) agent.

Raw data collection

To collect raw data for RHEL (64-bit) agent targets, perform the following steps:

1.     Install the RHEL (64-bit) agent.

·         Registering the CCS Agent on UNIX

·         Changing the LiveUpdate setting for an agent

Known issue

While installing the SCU 2014-5 content on an RHEL (64-bit) computer, the following message is displayed:

sh: /esm/bin/lnx-x64/assetinfo: Permission denied

However, there is no impact on the content installation because of this message.
