Description Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in WASD HTTP Server for OpenVMS. The consequences of successful exploitation of these issues may range from information disclosure to varying degrees of remote compromise.

Block external access at the network boundary, unless external parties require service. Filter untrusted network traffic at routers and firewalls. Deploy network intrusion detection systems to monitor for malicious access attempts. Audit logs regularly.
Disable any unneccessary default services. Examine the installation for any unneeded components. Remove the unneeded components from production environments.
Implement multiple redundant layers of security.
Employ operating system access control lists to restrict access to sensitive resources.
The vendor has released fixed versions which address these issues. Administrators are advised to upgrade.
Those using versions prior to 7.2 are advised to upgrade to at least 7.2 and then apply the relevant fixes.
