When Adware.Hithopper is installed, it performs the following actions:
  1. Adds the value:

    "InstallDir" = "%SystemDrive%\HitHopper"

    to the registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WebstormMedia\HitHopper

    so that Adware.Hithopper installs in this directory.

    Note:
    %SystemDrive% is a variable that refers to the drive on which the Windows installation resides. By default, this is drive C:\.

  2. Adds the values:

    "DisplayName" = "hithopper (remove only)"
    "UninstallString" = ""%SystemDrive%\HitHopper\uninst.exe""

    to the registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\HitHopper\

  3. Adds the value

    "www.hithopper.com"

    to the registry subkey:

    HKEY_ALL_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\NewWindows\Allow


  4. May create the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WebstormMedia\HitHopper
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Pugi.PugiObj.1
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Pugi.PugiObj
    HKEY_ALL_USERS\Software\HitHopper
    HKEY_ALL_USERS\Software\Classes\HitHopper
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\HitHopper
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{3717DF55-0396-463d-98B7-647C7DC6898A}
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{7B9A715E-9D87-4C21-BF9E-F914F2FA953F}
