New Advanced Question Types and Symantec Certified Professional (SCP) Retired
Upon the public company separation of Veritas, Symantec retired the Symantec Certified Professional (SCP) solution-based credential offering on October 3, 2015. Symantec is currently evaluating its certification program strategy, including offering performance-based hands on lab exams. Stay tuned to learn about upcoming changes that will improve the value of the Symantec certification program.
Starting in early 2016, Symantec has begun to update SCS exams with new innovative and advanced question types. Learn about SCS question types.
Legacy & New Exams
Many of the Symantec certification exams will be replaced by a newer product version of the exam as technology and trends continue to evolve. Legacy exams may still be available on Pearson VUE’s website, as Symantec recognizes that legacy product versions continue to hold their value in the marketplace as long as there is demand from the industry.
To prepare for certification exams, we encourage you to review the Certification Exam Page for more information. Additionally study of the course content, exam objectives, sample questions, product documentation, and on-the-job experience, are also recommended. Be cautioned that attendance in a training course does not guarantee passage of a certification exam.
