The Symantec Recycling Service (the “Service”) is only available to Symantec Corporation and its affiliates’ (“Symantec”) enterprise customers and is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. BY ORDERING THIS SERVICE, YOU ARE INDICATING THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (THE "CONTRACT") WILL SUPPLEMENT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ANY APPLICABLE OVERRIDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND SYMANTEC, OR, IN THE ABSENCE OF SUCH AN AGREEMENT, SYMANTEC’S STANDARD LICENSE AGREEMENT OR TECHNICAL SUPPORT TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Service Overview: The Service provides a way for Symantec’s customers to recycle Symantec hardware and field replaceable units (collectively, "Hardware").
Customer Responsibilities: You must pack your Hardware in accordance with Symantec's packaging instructions. You must pack your Hardware in a suitable box for transport and label:

You must make the packaged products available for pickup in a secure, easy to access location. The Hardware will not be returned to you. You must ensure that the material shipped is only Hardware and no other products or materials. You represent and warrant that the Hardware you ship was purchased by you through an authorized Symantec channel.
NOTICE REGARDING CUSTOMER DATA: You are responsible for all confidential data that may be stored on the Hardware. Before you ship the Hardware for recycling, you are responsible for: (a) deleting the data on the hard-disk drives and any other storage devices in the Hardware; (b) backing up or transferring any data prior to deletion; and (c) removing any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or PC Cards, however, you may not remove the hard-disk drive(s) or any other storage devices. Symantec does not accept liability for loss of or leakage of confidential data or loss of any software.
NO CONTAMINATED PRODUCTS: The Service is not intended for Hardware that is or has become contaminated or suspected of being contaminated with chemicals, biological agents or other substances that are not integral to the original new equipment or otherwise associated with normal office or household environments. Hardware that may be contaminated must be decontaminated prior to recycling. Symantec does not offer decontamination services. If you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this Contract, then Symantec is not obligated to provide the Service to you. In addition, the carrier may refuse shipment and you may incur additional fees.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel the Service by giving not less than 48 working hours cancellation notice on working days prior to a confirmed collection date. No cancellations may be made beyond this time period. Any charges incurred resulting from your decision to cancel the collection with less than 48 hours notice on working days, shall be borne by you. SYMANTEC WARRANTS THAT IT WILL PERFORM THE SERVICE WITH COMMERCIALLY REASONABLE CARE. SYMANTEC MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY AND DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
