Another IT pro’s insight could turn your day around
Ever wonder how other IT professionals are solving the kind of challenges you’re all too familiar with? And how they’re adding value to their organizations using Symantec solutions?

My name is Donna, and I’m part of the Global Customer Reference team here at Symantec. Every day my colleagues and I are on the front lines talking with customers about their everyday business and technology challenges, so we thought it would be beneficial to put a spotlight on the benefits and business value you can achieve. Subscribe to the Symantec Customer Success blog and you’ll get bite-sized relevant insights gleaned from the experiences of customers like you.

Are you confused by everything you’ve been hearing lately about the swine flu? I know I am, but if I lived in Houston, I’d be really relieved to know that Memorial Hermann Healthcare System seems completely prepared for it. The hospital chain has a swine flu dashboard on its website where visitors can input their symptoms to find out what to do, or track Houston flu outbreaks on an interactive map.

Memorial Hermann depends heavily on technology when treating patients, which means a system outage can literally be a life-or-death situation. So their IT staff makes safeguarding the network a priority. They use Symantec solutions to manage workstations and protect data, and Symantec Brightmail Gateway to keep spam off the network. Eliminating spam makes users more productive, and they’re projecting a $31 million productivity gain over three years.
