  • 1.  Issues with PGP Desktop and RDP

    Hi All,

I work for Cardiff Council (In ICT) and last week we had a request to move PGP Desktop from one PC to another (as one was due to be decommissioned). This was done with ease and it seemed there were no problems.

However we have now noticed that since installing the software we are getting problems with using RDP into the machine. We can always RDP out of the machine but not always in. It seems this can be fixed by stopping the PGP services and restarting the machine. However this is of no use as we need our users to be able to RDP in.

Apparently there were no problems on the old machine. I have tried to update it but get the error message 'Product manifest from the PGP Corporation update server fails the integrity check. Please try again later'.

We have PGP Desktop 9.6.3 [Build 3017] PGP SDK 3.8.3 installed.

I don't use the software and apparently that is running fine so all I need is a fix for the RDP issue and a way I can update it.

    Thanks

    Gary

Your PGP version is fairly old, and updating may take care of the problem for you.  Please see this Knowledge Base Article.  The current method for updating/upgrading is described in this PDF

Is this sufficiently addressed, or do you maybe have further concern?
