I am evaluating SEP 11MR4 for a governmental customer, whose system ist normally offline, that is, no connection to the Internet. In the manuals I only find online updates of the virus definition files and for the software updates (LiveUpdate). In order to get the new definitions files into the system, I have to do it with a seperate notebook without SEP, connect to the internet and then download the updates. With the USB stick I will have to transfer these update files into the network protected by SEP.
My question: Is this offline update possible? Where do I get the current definition files without using the LiveUpdate? What files do I have to download, in what directory I have to place these files within the SEP directories?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
